05:43 pm (IST): Multiple Xiaomi and Poco device owners have complained about disappearing MIUI 12.5/12 updates and here‘s all there’s to know.
Update 86 (August 25)
11:50 am (IST): The Redmi Note 10 battery drain issues on MIUI 12/MIUI 12.5 have been acknowledged and been reported to the concerned, as per a community moderator. Head here to know more.
05:18 pm (IST): Home screen icons keep disappearing or turning invisible on MIUI 12.5 or MIUI 12? The issue has now been acknowledged with MIUI User Experience Optimization Announcement Vol. 4.
Update 87 (August 27)
02:13 pm (IST): The Poco M3 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi strength issues have now finally been acknowledged. For details, head here.
Update 88 (August 30)
12:54 pm (IST): Xiaomi had advertised the “notifications of background behavior” feature around the time MIUI 12 was released but MIUI 12.5 is now live and there is still no sign of it. There is, however, an alternative that you can use in the meantime. Download now from here.
Update 46 (September 06)
12:26 pm (IST): The latest MIUI Weekly Bug Report talks about problems like Mobile Legends no response issue on the Redmi Note 9, calendar not showing any events on the Redmi 8A Pro, reboot issue on the Redmi Note 10 5G, and screen blinking while playing video on the Redmi 9T, and you can read all about it from here.
Update 47 (September 07)
12:35 pm (IST): If you are stuck on MIUI 12 on your Poco X3 because the update notification for MIUI 12.5 does show up but clicking on it does nothing, you aren’t alone.
The solution for this is simple. Just head over to Settings > About phone > MIUI version > Settings > Receive updates early.
Update 48 (September 08)
01:06 pm (IST): Some Xiaomi device owners have complained about an issue that locks their phones completely when they attempt to use them outside of officially supported regions.
One of these unsupported regions is Cuba and it leads to a “Xiaomi policy does not permit sale or provision of the product to the territory in which you have attempted to activate it.
Please contact the retailer directly for additional information” error message.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any workaround for this at the moment.
Update 49 (September 09)
02:06 pm (IST): Several users have complained about a Control Center bug that causes the blurring to not get triggered when pulling it down sometimes. There is no fix in sight as it persists even with MIUI 12.5.
[Bug] (Miui 12) The blur effect that happens while viewing notifications does not always work properly from Xiaomi
