Xiaomi has been pretty busy with the MIUI 12 update rollout schedule as many devices have received the latest custom skin while many are still in line to bag it.

However, there are several differences between the China and Global ROMs in terms of features, stability, and more.

Now, it seems that the OEM might be intending on bridging the gap between the China and Global MIUI 12 ROMs with the help of users across the globe.

We have come across a survey for Mi Fans about the China MIUI 12 ROM features that they would like to have on the Global MIUI 12 ROM.

Also, the priority of this survey appears to be the optimization of MIUI 12 as the focus is more on fixing bugs and issues on the latest custom skin.

MIUI 12 is yet to be fully deployed to all eligible devices but Xiaomi has also been working on the development of the next MIUI version i.e MIUI 13.

Back in April, we saw a MIUI 13 development survey which focused on gathering feedback about the functional design of the next iteration of MIUI.

Moreover, the development of MIUI 13 appears to be progressing steadily as recent reports suggest that the OEM will focus more on animations optimization in the next version of its custom skin.

Nevertheless, the MIUI 12 beta development will come to a standstill due to the National Day holidays in China from September 30 till October 12.

This temporary suspension of MIUI 12 beta development is going to affect the overall development of Xiaomi software updates globally.

It also means that those who are yet to receive the latest custom skin on their Xiaomi devices will have to wait a bit longer.

While there are still some bugs on the latest custom skin, the OEM is constantly working on fixing them and this new survey also appears to be focused more on that aspect.

That said, we will keep tracking the development of MIUI 12 and will provide updates when more information becomes available.

In the meantime, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker if your Xiaomi device is yet to bag the latest custom skin.

Furthermore, Android 11 is already out for several devices and Xiaomi is also working on the latest OS update so be sure to have a look at our Xiaomi Android 11 update tracker as well.
