Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro came out in 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and got updated to MIUI 11 based on Android 10 in March – back when MIUI 12 was not around.

While the latest custom skin arrived for the Mi 8 Pro back in August, it was only released for the Chinese variant of this device.

Now, the wait for the global Mi 8 Pro variant has finally come to an end as the stable MIUI 12 update is rolling out, albeit for a limited set of users before a wider rollout.

So, those who want to install the latest custom skin manually can grab it from the download link give below after the changelog.

However, be sure to check out these workarounds in case you come across any errors while installing the update manually.

It must be noted that the last MIUI 12 beta update for the Mi 8 Pro arrived back in September and it took quite some time for the stable update to arrive.

Nevertheless, users of the Mi 8 Pro can finally rejoice as the latest custom skin has a lot to offer.

The MIUI 12 update is yet to arrive for both devices while select users of the Redmi 9 Prime have supposedly bagged the same in India, although no actual user reports to back this up.

It was reported earlier that the Redmi 8A MIUI 12 update was expected to arrive in August but that did not transpire and reports of the same arriving soon surfaced last month.

Moreover, we later saw other reports which claimed that the update had been delayed for the Redmi 8 and Redmi 7 series.

While recent reports suggest that the standard Redmi 8 might soon receive the MIUI 12 update but the same cannot be said for the Redmi 8A.

IST 11:55 am: Xiaomi has now begun seeding the stable MIUI 12 update for the Russian variants of the Mi 8 and the Mi 8 Pro.

It’s available as version 12.0.1.0.QEARUXM for the Mi 8 and as version 12.0.1.0.QECRUXM for the Mi 8 Pro. You can download the update for either of the two devices via the links below:
