Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T global variant received the MIUI 12 update pretty recently along with the October 2020 security patch.

While the much anticipated update took quite some time to arrive, users are facing an issue related to the Android 10 full-screen gestures.

Multiple users have taken to the Mi Community to report that the full-screen indicator is missing on the Redmi Note 8T after the MIUI 12 update.

A similar issue surfaced after the Poco F1 received the MIUI 12 update back in early October and it is still persistent on the latest update.

Basically, the option to enable or disable the full-screen indicator is missing on the Redmi Note 8T and Poco F1 after the MIUI 12 update but it is still intact on the Redmi Note 9S.

The OEM has not provided any clarity on this and it still unclear whether the full-screen indicator is removed on purpose or it is a bug.

Moreover, it is a small aesthetic feature but is gaining a lot of attention as several users are indeed noticing the supposed glitch.

While an official acknowledgement might clear the air on the matter, the OEM does not seem to be paying much attention to it.

It has been over six months and the development of MIUI 12 is still ongoing while several Xiaomi devices are awaiting the latest custom skin.

The OEM is constantly trying to improve the user experience but such issues have been constantly coming to light.

That said, we will keep tracking the development of MIUI 12 and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
