While Xiaomi is aiming to boost its MIUI major OS upgrade drive, Redmi Note 8 users on the other hand have a different story to tell.

Redmi Note 8 is among the top-selling devices that helped Xiaomi build a big user base. But the company seems to have failed in reciprocating the goodwill.

From long delays to half-baked updates, Redmi Note 8 users have had a lot. We have separate coverage for why we think Xiaomi shouldn’t repeat a similar story to other devices in the near future.

Emerging reports suggest that the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 series in general have been facing issues related to Bluetooth connectivity for some time now.

These reports sat unattended in the forum but finally, a moderator has responded to a user query. He acknowledged the poor Bluetooth connectivity on Redmi Note 8 and says:

For this issue report via the Feedback App and reproduce there, as this is a known issue.

However, the mod did not convey anything on a probable fix and when it can be expected. For what it’s worth, the issue lies with the developers and a fix should arrive if the feedback gets lodged.

In the meantime, those affected can always head to the Feedback App and get their issues registered so that they can swiftly be acted upon.

Xiaomi is apparently testing Android 11 for Redmi Note 8 series and the devices are also expected to get MIUI 12.5 update and perhaps even MIUI 13 update when the time comes.

Not to mention, global Redmi Note 8 users still await MIUI 12 update. After a long episode of being delayed, re-released, and rolled back, it is finally anticipated to arrive in the first week of January.
