New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 20, 2020) follows:
When a smartphone passes through the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) with a new OS on board, it suggests that the device has been cleared to receive the said OS from the vendor in question.
Lately, several Samsung devices have been cleared by the organization with Android 10 on board. This means that Samsung has been given the OK to roll out the OS to the devices in question subject to their own internal testing.
Earlier this month, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A80 received their certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance. The Galaxy M30s and Galaxy A8s have since followed, but to date, none of these devices has received the OS.
Usually, it may take anywhere between 2-8 weeks from the time a device appears on the Wi-Fi Alliance and the time it actually receives the OS in question. Granted, there is no way to tell when exactly devices cleared to receive an OS upgrade by the WFA will indeed receive the OS.
This is exactly what you get with the latest developments regarding Samsung Galaxy A60 and Galaxy M40. The duo has been cleared by the WFA to receive One UI 2.0 update based on Android 10, but we don’t know when the OS will actually arrive.

Going by the roadmaps provided by Samsung, though, the Galaxy M40 is expected to begin receiving One UI 2.0 update in March 2020. Interestingly, there are details of the Galaxy A60 from the bunch of One UI 2.0 update roadmaps we have.
Considering the likes of Galaxy A70 and A80 are scheduled to receive their Android 10 updates in April, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Galaxy A60 One UI 2.0 update also rolls out at about the same time or maybe a little earlier. We will let you know.
Again, the WFA listings don’t mean the update is about to roll out, but they give us a rough idea of what’s coming and how long to wait for it.
Update (March 09, 2020)
