Apart from a few carrier-branded Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 units, Samsung is pretty much done with upgrading its popular flagship phones to the latest One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.

Sure, the Galaxy Fold, one of the company’s most expensive smartphones, is yet to pick up the new OS, but it should do so in the coming weeks or so.

For now, though, it’s time for owners of the budget Samsung Galaxy M40 to enjoy the goodies of One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 OS.

Arriving as software version M405FDDU2BTB5, the airborne update installs Samsung’s One UI 2.0 skin that brings features like Dark mode, enhanced image, text, and color adjustments for day and night environments, clearer app icons and system colors, new navigation gestures, and so on.

As part of the Galaxy M40 One UI 2.0 update, Samsung is also bumping the security patch level from the previous December 2019 to the latest version available – March 2020.

The rollout has been spotted in India, but the official Galaxy M40 software update tracker for this region hasn’t been updated with the new info just yet, although it should be in a few days’ time.

More regions are also expected to pick up the Galaxy M40 One UI 2.0 update in the coming days or weeks for that matter, so stay patient as you wait.
