The Finnish company HMD Global after taking over the proceedings of the Nokia brand has grown it to one of the respective brands in the Android smartphone market today.
But there was quite a bit of delay from Nokia, about the rollout of the WiFi calling feature (VoWiFi) even on Android 10.
For naive, network operators in India like Jio and Airtel have recently expanded the Voice Over WiFi services (VoWiFi) for several cities. This allows users to make free domestic WiFi calls.
However, in a surprise turn of events, Nokia has made the VoWiFi (WiFi calling) support available for a bunch of smartphones. Notably, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus users have reported getting VoWiFi support.
