Original story follows:
So, the YouTube Rewind 2018 video was finally released yesterday. While the production quality of the video appears top-notch, if the number on like and dislike buttons is any indication, it failed to live up to its hype. Currently, there are 3.6M dislikes compared to 1.4M likes.
If you look at comments from viewers on the video or on social media platforms, the biggest complaint is the absence of some very popular YouTubers like PewDiePie (whose channel, although under threat to be dethroned, but is still the most subscribed on the platform). Now, PewDiePie was excluded from Rewind 2017 likely due to controversies and same could be the reason this year as well.
The good news is Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has now come up with a new video where he has offered his commentary on this year’s YouTube Rewind video, and I must say, it’s a good watch. He has touched on topics like K-pop/BTS, Bongo cat, and even spotted a reference to his own chair and channel.

Among other things he discussed was the amount of dislikes the video got as well as the decreasing popularity of YouTube Rewind video over the years. There’s a lot of other hilarious stuff as well. Take a look:
