[Updated] Nokia 2.3 Android 10 update confirmed for Q1 end/Q2 beginning, spotlight now on Nokia 2.2 as it's next inline for Android Q

Nokia phones run on Android One, which is for all intents and purposes, stock Android. This means that updates to Nokia devices should, at least in theory, be rolled out much faster than other OEMs who run heavily skinned versions of Android 10.

Yesterday, we saw Nokia releasing an updated roadmap for how it plans to roll out Android 10 to many of its devices, including the Nokia 7.2 and the Nokia 6.2. You can read more about that here.

According to the old roadmap that was shared, Nokia 2.3 wasn’t mentioned in the list so it was not meant to get Android 10. Luckily for the Nokia 2.3 users, the revised and updated roadmap list of the same includes it. You can read more about that here.

So yes, Nokia 2.3 users can rest easy, sit tight and await a build of Android 10 for their device. According to the said timelines, the device will get Android 10 either by the end of Q1 or Q2 beginning.

Now that this is settled, focus now shifts to the Nokia 2.2. This device, according to the timelines, is next in line for Android 10. How soon could this be? Well, very soon actually.

In fact, we have recently seen reports, the latest being from a Greek publications stating that the update is already out for the device. This means it is only a matter of time before the same is rolled out to the device in more regions.

One of the highlighting features of the upcoming Android 10 build for the Nokia 2.2 has got to be the revamped Google Assistant.
