The phone is currently running Android Pie based ColorOS skin, albeit Realme UI flavored Android 10 update is available in China via beta channel. The Chinese OEM is bringing more useful features with software updates.

Realme is now rolling out the January 2020 security patch to Realme X2 Pro. The update (A.09) is more of a bugfix one, although there is a surprising element inside it. Here is the update changelog.

Among other things, this update adds support for VoWiFi for Jio and Airtel users with the Realme X2 Pro. These Indian carriers has started to whitelist Realme phones quite recently, and the phone maker is very much vocal about it.
VoWiFi (also known as WiFi calling) is expected to roll out to even more Realme devices other than this device. The timeline has already been rolled out by the company. You can read more about that here.
At the beginning of this month, this particular device grabbed the December 2019 patch. The stable build of Android 10 is on the pipeline as well.
As has been the case with previous updates from Realme, this is also an OTA update. As such, it is getting rolled out in phases.
