Huawei and Honor smartphone owners are eagerly waiting for the EMUI 10 (Android 10) update. Though quite a few devices have already been served with the EMUI 10 beta update, there are many that are yet to get an official date.
Honor Play users were waiting for some more information on whether their phones will get the EMUI 10 (Android 10) update or not. To recall, it was launched back in 2018.
Talking about some specs, it features Kirin 970 chipset with 4/6 GB of RAM, offers up to 64 GB of onboard storage, a 3,750 mAh battery, a 6.3-inch display.
In the camera department, it houses a dual 16 MP+ 2 MP camera setup at the back and at the front, it sports a 16 MP camera sensor. Honor Play also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Cut to now, in a recent development, Huawei has finally shed some light on this situation regarding EMUI 10 (Android 10) update for the smartphone.
Responding to a tweet, the official twitter handle of Honor UK stated that the release date for EMUI 10 update is set for March. However, there is no particular mention about the Honor Play and they are still waiting for official dates to be confirmed.
Hello, I’m sorry for the delay in response. It is looking like a March release for EMUI 10 for Honor, but we are still waiting for the dates/ devices to be confirmed.

What is more interesting is that we have reported a few days back that Honor India has clarified that there will not be EMUI 10 update for the Honor Play. In fact, it will get regular security updates from now.
But now taking into consideration the latest tweet from Honor UK, the situation has now again become unclear whether the Honor Play will get the Android 10 (EMUI 10) update or not.
Though we cannot confirm anything especially considering the contradictory responses from Huawei and Honor in this matter. We will keep you in the loop until there is any concrete information in this regard.
