The Pocophone F1 was among the first devices to receive the stable MIUI 11 update back in October 2019.

Although it was never going to be the case, most owners of the device secretly hoped that the Poco F1 MIUI 11 update would also be the one that brought the stable Android 10 to the device. The closest we’ve come so far is the release of the Android 10 kernel source.

We all know what went down, but Xiaomi being, well Xiaomi, MIUI 11 still borrows a thing or two from Android 10, which means that technically, Poco F1 users who have switched to MIUI 11 are already enjoying some Android 10-inspired features.

Ahead of the Poco F1 Android 10 update, Xiaomi may have to deal with strange notification panel issues that have been affecting the handset since the update to MIUI 11 stable version.

The root cause of the Poco F1 notification bar issues is still unclear although some say the Netflix app could be one of the culprits, but below are accounts of what happens when the bug strikes.

I have been facing this issue where the network speed shows up at top left corner of the screen every now and then and when it happens I am unable to pull down the notification panel by swiping down. Only restarting fixes it.

As it stands, the Poco F1 notification bar issue can only be fixed by restarting the phone, but for something that occurs 3-5 times a day, it becomes annoying.

From the look of things, though, this issue isn’t just affecting Poco F1 users. From the company’s forums, we’ve come across reports from Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 owners as well.

This problem keeps happening with me, only fix when I restart. I guess in the next update this will be fixed? My phone is a xiaomi redmi note 7.

Regardless of what the root cause is, it’s clear that the issue started after the Poco F1 MIUI 11 update. Granted, it should be fixable via a software update, although we can’t tell you when.

NOTE: We will keep an eye on the story and let you know when the issue is fixed. Meanwhile, stay tuned to our Xiaomi and Poco sections for related stories.

A techy. Besides phones, I also enjoy the farm, music, football, and, of course, food.
