New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 31, 2019) follows:

Samsung is rolling out the stable Galaxy Note 9 Android 10 update that brings the latest One UI 2.0 skin to the Exynos variants.

It’s only a few days ago that the fifth One UI 2.0 beta rolled out to the Galaxy Note 9. From this beta, it was easy to tell the stable version was around the corner thanks to the minimal changes it brought.

Arriving as version N960FXXU4DSLB, the initial rollout seems to be targeting those who participated in the One UI 2.0 beta testing program. This is because the OTA weighs in at just 100MB.

Of course, when the full Galaxy Note 9 Android 10 package starts rolling out for those coming from Android Pie, you can expect a much bigger file size, but the end product will be the same. Below is the download link for the latest FOTA from build ZSLB to DSLB.

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 9
  • Codename: SM-N960F
  • Channel: Global (Exynos) Stable
  • Version: DSLB
  • Android: 10
    • Type: FOTA

The incoming Note 9 update still keeps the same December patch that rolled out to the device a month ago. This was not expected given that the Galaxy S9 recently got a One UI 2.0 beta update with January 2020 patches.

Heck, even the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Tab S5e already received their January 2020 security patches, so it’s kind of surprising the stable Galaxy Note 9 Android 10 update keeps the same patch released a month ago.

Those who didn’t take part in the beta program may have to wait for a few days before the stable Note 9 One UI 2.0 update arrives. Also, the rollout timeline will vary depending on regions.

In the U.S., the unlocked Note 9 is still on the second One UI 2.0 beta and while we don’t know if Samsung will push all five beta updates to this model, what looks certain is that the region will begin receiving the stable version in 2020.

Update 1 (January 2, 2020)
