How does it feel when something hinders your way? Irritating, isn’t it? In case you happened to migrate from Android to iOS, you might have felt the same way in the first few days because the former goes way down in the customisation ladder.
Android, by default, comes up with numerous personalisation options. By exploring them, we can transform the platform to the way we like it to be. But, speaking of iOS, you need to go through a geeky process called jailbreaking for entering a world of advanced privileges.
Yesterday, we shared a method to get an Android-like advanced reboot menu on the Control Center. Not just that, once you jailbreak your iPhone, you can enable a brightness sensitive dark mode, add widgets directly on the lock screen, grab a beautiful interface for Spotify, and more.
Let’s rewind the time a bit to 2017 when Apple launched iPhone X. In an attempt to increase the screen real estate, they chose 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a notch on the top. When viewing YouTube videos in full-screen mode (zoom to fill), that tiny nick hampers the whole experience.
Owing to the space it takes on the side, you don’t literally get to watch the content truly in full-screen. And, Apple, as they kept on releasing phones with notches ever since, added fuel to the fire. So, do you want a magic wand for zooming YouTube just up to the notch?
Well, we have found a jailbreak tweak to help you do exactly the same. Dubbed as Zoom for YouTube, it changes the values for YouTube’s “Zoom To Fill” feature. By doing so, videos render in 18:9 aspect ratio, leaving the notch out of the frame. Curious to know more?
