Original story
Fortnite, one of the immensely popular online video game developed by Epic games was launched back in 2017. And since then the craze for Fortnite among users has grown leaps and bounds.
Like other online games, Fortnite also receives regularly updates through which the game gets bug fixes and new features. As some of you may already know, one of the Fortnite team’s usual practice is that whenever they release an update their servers go down momentarily to integrate the changes.
But apparently the transition wasn’t smooth this time, as iOS users are complaining the that bears version 8.40 is not available at the App Store.
A far as we can see, the moment Fortnite started the update process, their servers went down and they informed users that there may be a delay for the update to be available on the App Store.
Later on they added:

And soon after the servers were up again, Fortnite updated their users that they’re back.

But going by the recent reports across social media platforms, even hours after the completion of the update process, it’s still not available on the App Store.
Here’s what some of the troubled users have to say:
“I’m trying to update my Fortnite on iOS when I login it says there’s a update when I got to the App Store to update there’s no update what do I do”
Following are some tweets (1,2,3,4,5,6,7):
Sadly, Fortnite hasn’t yet given any update regarding what’s causing the delay. Meanwhile, we are keeping an active tab on all related developments and will update the story as and when any new development comes to out sight.
