A known brand in the computer’s market, Asus forayed into the smartphone world with the ZenFone series way back in 2014. The Taiwanese company brought in the device powered with Android OS with its custom ZenUI on top.

The first smartphone that was launched by the company under the ZenFone series was the ZenFone 4. Now, the latest offering from the company under the Zenfone series is the ZenFone 6 which is quite a leap overall, considering the gap between Zenfone 4 and 6z is just 5 years.

Besides, looking at some numbers, Asus’s online channel shipment in India grew by 26% YoY in Q2 2019. This data is according to a report by Counterpoint Research.

And looking at the competition in the Indian market, what Asus was able to achieve is quite a nice feat. However, in pushing out updates, Asus is lagging behind the likes of Nokia, Motorola, etc.

In a recent development, Asus has rolled out a new update for the Asus Zenfone 6 (sold as Asus 6z in India) which brings in some bug fixes for the device. Asus has previously rolled out another similar bug fix update that fixed the screen flickering issue and audio quality on the Zenfone 6.

To recall, the Asus Zenfone 6z was launched in May 2019 and is powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor which is paired with 6/8GB of RAM. It offers 64/128/256GB of internal storage.

It runs on the Android 9 Pie with ZenUI 6 on top. It sports a motorized flip camera that acts as both the rear and the front camera which houses 48MP+13MP sensors.

Zenfone 6z also features a 6.4-inches 1080p display and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the device has a massive 5000 mAh battery that also supports 18W fast charging (Quick Charge 4).

Talking about the update it is available for Asus Zenfone 6 [Asus 6z] users globally and is applicable for Indian users as well. It brings in the fix for screen rotation flashing black screen and also enhances the system stability.
