Google released Android Pie on 6 August 2019. And, it created history by being the last iteration to bear the name of a dessert. Little did anyone know the Mountain View tech giant’s plan to ditch a decade old tradition back then.
Now we have Android 10. Although the brands (except Google, Essential, and Xiaomi) haven’t started rolling it out for the existing models, people are holding their breath to see the same on their phones.
In case you are someone waiting to get Android 10 on your handset, you should know there are many who haven’t even tasted a tiny piece of Pie yet. As for Redmi 6/6A users, Android Pie was playing hide and seek. If you happen to be one hapless owner, you know they rolled back the update several times.
And, it might have felt like accidentally flipping a switch to put you through a loop. Starting from the beginning of August, the release and rollout occurred at least four times until a couple of weeks ago.
Guess what! They have yet again untied Android 9.0 for Redmi 6/6A. Taking the past events into consideration, we are not sure if the new OTA will follow the same path of the old ones. Let’s hope it will not! You can read the complete changelog of Redmi 6 Android Pie update below.
