Xiaomi’s massive smartphone portfolio recently got a new member known as the Mi Note 10. In China, this device goes by the name Mi CC9 Pro, which is vintage Xiaomi at its best.

Names aside, the Mi Note 10 is one of the most interesting smartphones from the company. The major highlight, as you would expect in the current age of Instagram and Snapchat, is the camera. In China, the Mi CC9 series caters to the camera-centric youth, which justifies the crazy camera setup.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has 5 cameras on the back

There are five cameras on the back featuring two telephoto lenses (12MP and 5MP), a 20MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP dedicated macro camera, with the icing on the cake being the massive 108MP shooter with PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS.

If you thought the 108MP is all the Mi Note 10 has in store, well, meet the massive 5260mAh battery unit, way bigger than what current flagship phones have, but the Mi CC9 Pro is no high-end device, at least when the internal specs come into play.

There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, which is a premium midrange octa-core chipset that is a product of the 8nm process. For comparison, the 8nm process has also been used to make the premium Exynos 9820 chipset that powers Galaxy S10 handsets across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The 6.47-inch notched AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution is great for watching videos and movies or even playing games.

In typical Xiaomi fashion, the first MIUI 11 firmware for the Mi CC9 Pro is now available in China as version 11.0.3.0.PFDCNXM, tagging along optimized system performance and improved system security and stability, but the base OS is still Android 9 Pie.

As always, we have the download link with us for manual flashing, but be sure you know how this works.

For fans of modding, you must be familiar with Xiaomi.eu custom ROM. Basically, this is a tweaked version of the official MIUI with European users in mind. If you purchased the Mi CC9 Pro and shipped it to Europe, there is something to smile about.

Traces of Xiaomi.eu ROM for a Xiaomi device codenamed tucana are showing up on Github. Just so you know, the Mi Note 10 and Mi CC9 Pro are both codenamed tucana, so yeah, these two should get Xiaomi.eu ROM support pretty soon.

The early build is based off the current firmware version MIUI 11.0.3.0.PFDCNXM, but of course, more updates should be available once the ROM goes live.
