Xiaomi has one of the largest smartphone repositories in the Android world. The company pumps new phones into the market at an alarming rate, some popping up with totally different names depending on where you purchase it.

In China, for instance, the company has the camera-centric Mi CC9 series that comprises of the standard CC9, the Pro variant, and an entry-level Mi CC9e model. The other two never got to leave China, but the standard Mi CC9 did, arriving on the global scene as the Mi 9 Lite.

Having arrived powered by Android Pie, the Mi 9 Lite Android 10 update was never a question of if, but when. Folks in China got a taste of the new OS back in mid-November 2019 and after months of trials, Xiaomi is now satisfied with the firmware at hand.

As I write this, a new Android 10-based MIUI 11 firmware meant for the Mi CC9 has surfaced online. The update has software version V11.0.1.0.QFCCNXM and not only does it tag along the latest OS, but also an updated Android security patch.

Below is a summarized changelog of the update:

System
– Stable MIUI based on Android 10
– Updated Android Security Patch to February 2020. Increased system security.
Data usage
– Fix: Data usage warning appeared multiple times

Rather than wait for the OTA update to arrive probably after several days, you can simply grab the firmware via the link below and install it manually. But once again, this update is meant for the Chinese variant of the Mi 9 Lite.
