It is always refreshing to see a device getting a new software update. Granted, Xiaomi has had one-too-many hiccups in rolling out updates to its devices lately, especially the Android One Mi A2 and Mi A3 devices.

Luckily, Xiaomi got its act together and at the moment, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is getting a stable build of Android 10. Earlier, we saw reports that Xiaomi had canceled the rollout of Android 10 to the Mi A2. The company cited unknown reasons for this move.

After the re-release of Android 10, it has generally been a smooth ride for users, save for the inevitable few cases where things don’t quite work as planned.

Further moving forward into the Android 10 build for the Mi A2, Xiaomi is rolling out the March 2020 Android security patch update for this device. This is based on Android 10 so it is safe to assume that the company wants all Mi A2 users to be on this version of Android.

This update’s changelog is the generic one we see with many monthly Android security patch updates to various devices.

Changelog for March security patch:

Android security patch updated to March 5, 2020. More information about the security bulletin: https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2020-03-01.html

As is the case with many other updates, this March update for Android One ROM based on Android 10 of the Mi A2 phones, will gradually be pushed out via OTA to all eligible devices in the course of the next few weeks.

Xiaomi Mi A2 users are therefore advised to be patient and check for available updates in the meantime. This is because the Stable rollout of Android 10 has been out for a while now and it should be available for almost all users at this point.
