Xiaomi is known to offer some of the most developer-friendly smartphones in the Android fraternity. The company has more than proven this on multiple occasions and it continues to do so with the latest Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.

Literally hours after their announcement in China, Xiaomi has already published the official Android 10 kernel source code for both devices alongside the official MIUI ROMs.

Call it what you may but truth be told, Xiaomi is on fire. With this development, it means custom ROM developers and modders can already start doing what they love about Xiaomi devices. Matter of fact, I won’t be shocked if the devices get working ROMs and mods by the end of next week.

The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are already great pieces of hardware on paper. But with the developer community now free to get going, it makes them an even more interesting duo to have.

At the moment, both phones are still limited to the Chinese market with no clear information about global availability. With this in mind, the aforementioned first official MIUI ROMs are for the Chinese market, but this won’t stand in the way of custom ROM development and modding.

If you are an interested developer, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro Android 10 kernel source code has been published on the official Github page here.
