Newer iPhones come with Apple’s own Taptic Engine. What’s a taptic Engine you ask? Well, Apple created this technology which provides tactile sensations in the form of vibrations to users of Apple devices.
I say devices because this is not limited to iPhones only. Apple Watch, iPhones, iPads, and MacBook laptops all come with this.
This tech uses a vibration motor to produce tactile feedback when a user interacts with the device. This tech became part of the iPhone in late 2015 with the launch of the iPhone 6S. This means that all iPhones launched before that did not have this feature.
Thanks to a new Jailbreak tool called Rose 4.3, users with iPhone SE and iPhone 6 can now simulate this. With the 4.3 release, Rose now adds support for legacy vibration engines for haptic feedback.
Initial feedback from users has been overwhelming. Many of the users who have tried out this tool on their Jailbroken devices which are supported are generally positive, many likening the results to newer iPhones’ Taptic Engine.
Holy isht it actually feels like the Taptic Engine. I’m really impressed. Can you add Apollo support for upvoting and downvoting on legacy devices?

However, there is a small catch. As this feature is a hack in itself, it only works with the ringer on. It is therefore not possible to have this haptic feedback working with the Ringer off. (Vibration set to On).
It is also important to note that for the most part, this is a work in progress. As such, many users running various versions of iOS are having some trouble getting this to work properly.
We shall update when we get a proper how-to-guide so set up this haptic feedback tool so stay tuned to our jailbreak section.
