Frequent call drops and low-quality voice calls is not a new thing in India. Though the technology sector in the country is booming, we still suffer from poor call and network quality.
To make some improvements in this field, major network providers like Airtel and Jio introduced the VoWiFi (WiFi Calling) feature in India.
It is a welcoming step in the right direction. VoWiFi or WiFi Calling makes use of your WiFi connection to connect calls instead of your regular mobile network in order to improve the call quality. Beneficially, this also negates the need to rely on the fluctuating network indicators.
