Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why Verizon isn’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.

A quick look at the micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many others affected by the same issue. As per reports, Verizon’s phone service isn’t working. For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that Verizon is indeed going through a glitch in some regions, as can be seen in the live outage map image below:

Any official word on the matter? Negative, as yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.

It appears the outage is being investigated as while reverting back to one of the Wireless customers, Verizon Support recently said:

We are here with the Verizon FIOS Residential Support, but our wireless team is well aware and working diligently to correct the issue.

Latest status update on the matter from Verizon Wireless Support while reverting back to a complainant:

We are aware that there is an outage in your area. We are hard at work, fixing this issue. During this time we are recommending continuing troubleshooting, to address this.

Apart from reports on Twitter, Down detector also conveys Verizon is down and not working for some.

Verizon is currently experiencing wireless network issues in Dallas, Texas but technicians are aware and are working to resolve them quickly.

Verizon has been down for many for the past some time, and users are unable to make calls or use the internet. While Down detector conveys an outage, Verizon Fios support on Twitter has acknowledged the outage in some areas.

A bunch of new reports from Verizon users is surfacing online, reports from users facing Verizon service outages in various parts of the U.S.

Verizon has since come out to acknowledge this issue, noting that the teams are working on it.

Downdetector is showing another spike in the number of reports meaning that Verizon is having yet another outage. This makes it two days in a row where Verizon users have been experiencing issues with their services.

Reports from Verizon users have since subsided and even Downdetector is reporting relatively lower numbers of reports. This indicates that the issues faced are now resolved.

Reports from Verizon users in Rhode Island are reporting an outage in the carrier’s services, many noting that they’re stuck with no internet.

Downdetector is also showing a massive spike in reports over the past couple of hours.

Reports indicating an outage have dried up on Twitter and there’s also no indication of any major troubles with Verizon on sites like Downdetector.

It appears that many Verizon customers are experiencing issues with the service for hours as reports continue to pile up on Twitter. Apart from that, Downdetector also shows a huge spike in the number of reports indicating that there’s an outage with Verizon.

It appears that Verizon mobile internet has been down for many people throughout CA all day (including for myself). @VZWSupport seems deadset on not admitting that they know about the outage. (Source)

Social Media reports on Verizon service interruption and outages have gone down and even Downdetector doesn’t seem to report any new reports and as such, it is safe to assume that this issue has since been addressed.
