New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 27, 2019) follows:
Samsung started to push the August security patches for Galaxy S10 family during the mid of this month. As you may speculate, certain European countries got it first. The Exynos powered unlocked S10e/S10/S10+ received this ASH1 build, which brought nothing major other than the updated patch set.
The carrier unlocked US Snapdragon models took their cue from the international variants, as they were blessed with software version ASGF with August patches. Interestingly, those having T-Mobile SIM in their unlocked model got ASGB build.
Not only the build tags were different, but also the latter featured July patch set. As we are approaching towards September, AT&T just announced a new update for Galaxy S10 lineup. No clever guess needed – August patch is finally here for the carrier locked variants.
The build number is unsurprisingly a different one (ASGK). The size of the incremental update as well as the changelog portray this OTA as a typical servicing update.
However, Sprint has something else in mind. Remember when someone hinted about the arrival of a new software channel (B instead of A) for the whole S10 family? Well, Sprint is currently rolling out such updates.
The August security patch on Sprint branded Galaxy S10 is available as software version BSGJ. The bootloader version remains same (v2) as the last update. The carrier entirely skipped July patches and jumped directly from June to August.
On the other hand, the Snapdragon Galaxy S10 will finally get the taste of true RCS messaging via stock Samsung Messages app. Thing is, the confirmation came from Rogers, thus only Canadian units are eligible at this moment – no love for US users! ?
The information is perfectly inline with the previous ‘leak’ that came from a self-proclaimed Telus employee. Judging from the previous update schedules, other Canadian carriers are also going to provide RCS support along with August patches by the first week of September.
When do you think US Galaxy S10 models get the ‘true’ RCS? Let us know by commenting below.

Update 3 (September 3)
