December has been a good month for owners of Samsung flagships from the recent past. The Galaxy S10 series got its stable Android 10 a couple of days before the new month and later, the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 joined the party.

Heck, Samsung has even managed to bring the stable One UI 2.0 update to a number of carrier-locked devices in the U.S. – the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 devices, to be specific.

Next in line, as you may have guessed, are the Galaxy S9 and S9+. These two have been testing the One UI 2.0 beta update for weeks now. It started with the Exynos models back in late November before the U.S. unlocked models joined the party a couple or so weeks ago.

In between, the Exynos Galaxy S9 One UI 2.0 beta 2 update had already arrived and not long ago, the devices picked up their third Android 10 beta update.

Today, those using the U.S. unlocked Galaxy S9 and S9+ can now update their One UI 2.0 beta firmware to version ZSL9, the second beta update. As expected, there are no major changes, but you do get a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements.

Below is the list of bugs that have been addressed in the latest Galaxy S9 One UI 2.0 beta 2 update:

– FC occurs while using Samsung Pass
– Iris recognition for Secure Folder is failed
– FC occurs while editing LED icon
– Mobile hotspot connection is unstable

Apparently, expect to deal with a few known issues from time to time, but isn’t that what beta-testing software is all about?

Since the update is arriving over the air, it may take several days before everyone gets it. You don’t have to wait when the download link is live. All you need is to download the FOTA update and install it manually, although we only have the link for the S9+.
