U.S. unlocked Galaxy S9 Android 10 update arrives as One UI 2.0 beta (Download links inside)

Late last month, Samsung opened its One UI 2.0 beta program to its 2018 flagship phones – the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9.

Similar to previous devices that joined the One UI 2.0 beta program, the initial batch of Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 units that were eligible to try Android 10 was limited to the Exynos models in Korea, Europe and India.

So far, Galaxy Note 9 and S9 users from these markets participating in the One UI 2.0 beta program have already picked up their second beta updates. But it’s only yesterday that owners of the Galaxy Note 9 in the U.S. received their invitation to try Android 10 ahead of rollout.

Hot on the heels of the Note 9 are the U.S. unlocked Galaxy S9 and S9+. The pair is receiving the update that installs Android 10 OS with One UI 2.0 beta on top.

Arriving as build number ZSL3, the incoming Galaxy S9 Android 10 beta update weighs in at over 1.8GB and bundles the latest December security patch beside the myriad of changes attached to One UI 2.0.

The fact that the second One UI 2.0 beta update arrived elsewhere with build ZSL2 suggests that the incoming Galaxy S9 Android 10 beta update in the U.S. picks up from where Exynos models are headed next, that is, beta 3. But this is just a hunch.
