Original story (published on April 3) follows:
Samsung’s One UI skin has received a lot of accolades from critics and users alike. This, according to many, is the most refined Android skin in the business today. And it has to be. Samsung has had a lot of time to refine its skin and being the giant that it is, if anyone can make a good Android experience, it has to be Samsung.
The latest edition of this skin, One UI 2.1 runs on the company’s very latest flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S20 family of devices. This version of One UI boasts of a number of S20 exclusive features like advanced photo and video tools, a new intelligent Gallery, and easy sharing capabilities, among other things.
Samsung is working to bring over some of these exclusive features to the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy S10, Samsung’s flagships from last year. “Starting Friday, April 3, a software update will bring some popular features of the award-winning Galaxy S20 to the Galaxy S10 and Note10 series.” Read the release statement in part.
To recall, the One UI 2.1 update has already been spotted by users of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy S10 in various regions including Europe. With this official statement from Samsung, these features might be heading out to even more regions.
Galaxy Note 10 users and Galaxy S10 users are better placed with this statement as they now have solid confirmation of this update. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users’ fate in terms of the One UI 2.1 update still lies in limbo.
This is because reports have surfaced that both the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 9 might not get updated to One UI 2.1 after all. For more on that story, check out our post.
Update 1 (April 6)
