OnePlus‘ claim to fame was a rather ingenious strategy. They offered flagship specs at a fraction of the price. While they still do offer flagship specs and build quality, over the years, the price has crept up. But even so, it still undercuts similarly spec’d devices by a substantial margin.

The OnePlus 7T is one such device. OnePlus 7T is the Android phone to beat for the money, with a peerless, 90Hz display, excellent performance from the speediest CPU on the market, and a lightning-fast-charging battery. At a price of $599, few devices can compete.

But the OnePlus 7T has not been without issues. While the issues are not widespread to warrant a scandal parse, it still dogs its users. Some of these issues are excessive battery drains and quality of photos.

Today, the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 7T is being updated to version 10.0.4.HD63CB. This update comes in at 119.6MB and includes the October 2019 Android security patches. It also improved the quality of photos taken at night, an optimized full-screen gesture experience, and more.

It is worth noting that the International OnePlus 7T already received the October patch. In fact, the regular OnePlus 7T received a separate update in past related to camera quality improvement. Apparently, the same saga is continuing, as this particular phone is now reportedly receiving the October security patch alongside various fixes.

The internal version number of the new update is OxygenOS 10.0.4. This is a little confusing, seeing as the International version is currently on OxygenOS 10.0.5. The size of the incremental OTA package remains less than 150 MB.

A lot of issues have been fixed

Many users note that the issues they had prior to the update seem to have been addressed. One such issue among many users was an unexplained excessive battery drain. The user also goes on to note that he left his device unattended for an hour to find no change in battery status. This is just impressive.

OnePlus 7T users on T-Mobile should see this update in the coming days. You can also check for it manually by going into Settings > System > System Update > Check for update.

We shall update on the download links when they become available. Have you received this update on your device? Has it brought any changes with it? Tell us in the comment section.
