The latest February security update for T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is now rolling out over the air. The same update is also arriving on Asus ZenFone 5Q, a device known elsewhere as ZenFone 5 Lite or ZenFone 5 Selfie Pro.
The Magenta carrier has already pushed the latest Android 10 OS to the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, which means the incoming firmware is based on the new OS.
Arriving as software version N976USQS1ATA6, the update weighs in at 207MB, tagging along the usual bug fixes and stability improvements. However, the official software update tracker has yet to be updated.
As noted, the latest February security update is also rolling out to the budget Asus ZenFone 5Q in the U.S. This same device is also known as Asus ZenFone 5 Lite or ZenFone 5 Selfie Pro in other markets.
The incoming update has software version 16.0610.2002.94 and does nothing to the base OS. The changelog also doesn’t mention anything more than the updated security patch level.
If you own the entry-level Asus ZenFone Max M2, the new update is arriving as version 16.2018.2001.58 but unlike the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and ZenFone 5 Lite, the update installs the older January security patch.
Still a welcome update for the Max M2, especially since the device doesn’t get monthly patches. Also, the fact that the ZenFone Max M2 Android 10 update status is in limbo makes the incoming update quite something.
