If you are the owner of the Sony Xperia XZ3, XZ2, XZ2 Compact or the XZ2 Premium then, you are in for a treat as Sony has pushed in the Android 10 update for the mentioned devices.
What might be a new year’s gift for some of the users, the Android 10 update packs in all the new and enhanced security features for the Xperia XZ3 and XZ2 series.
The update arrives with the version number V52.1.A.0.532 for all the devices while it weighs in around 730 MB in size for Xperia XZ3 OTA update.
PiunikaWeb readers must remember that the XZ3 received the November 2019 security patchset back in November 2019. It also tags along new Dark Mode, Digital Wellbeing but misses out on new Google gestures.

Moreover, as always, the update is being pushed via OTA in batches and will take some time in hitting all the units. However, users can head to the Settings > About phone/tablet > Software update for manual checking.

In a recent development, Sony has allegedly paused the Android 10 update for Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 taking into consideration the various bugs it tagged along. Matter of fact, a new update might soon make its way to fix those issues. You can read the complete story here.
