Some new updates are in store for the Sony Xperia phones while T-Mobile also updates its OnePlus 7 Pro 5G variant. Notably, the updates bring in the February 2020 security patchset.

Xperia XZ2 series is getting updated to February 2020 patch that includes the regular XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ2 Dual, XZ2 Premium. Xperia XZ3 users are also getting a similar update like the XZ2 with tons of bug fixes, the major being the fingerprint scanner fix.

While the US carrier network, T-Mobile brings in system improvements as a part of this February update.

The update for XZ3 is hitting the units with the version number 52.1.A.0.618 and weighs in around 280 MB in size. Note that the Android 10 update has been re-released for the Xperia XZ3 phones which were halted due to several bugs.

Xperia XZ2 series that includes XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ2 Dual, XZ2 Premium is also getting the same update with the same version number.

The update (as mentioned above) brings in fix for one of the most annoying bugs that were triggered by the Android 10 update, i.e. the fingerprint issue.

However, taking a look at the responses from the users, some say that the update has improved the response of the fingerprint scanner, while some say that it has made it about 50-60% snappier.

T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro 5G

The T-Mobile February patchset for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G users arrives with the version number V10.0.27.HD61CB and its size is around 182.1 MB.
