Signal is one of the most secure messaging applications that is used by thousands of people across the globe. Similar to Telegram, this open-source messaging application offers end-to-end encryption. Moreover, you can even use it to send disappearing messages.
In addition to texting, this secure messaging app also allows users to have both voice and video calls with their contacts.
Well, if you are a Signal user, then there’s a piece of good news for you. The latest beta version of this messaging app now supports stickers. As a result, you can now use stickers while chatting with your friends on Signal.
Presently the two sticker packs that are supported by Signal are Zozo the French Bulldog (created by Arrow Bowie) and Bandit the Cat (created by Agnes Lee).Similar to other mainstream messaging apps, you can effortlessly install new sticker packs when you receive a sticker from a friend.
The latest beta release for the desktop version of this application allows users to upload their custom sticker packs. Furthermore, if you are an artist you can easily create new stickers and export them in PNG format.
Signal automatically transforms these PNG stickers into WebP format for storage efficiency. You can accommodate a maximum of 40 stickers in a sticker pack and associating a sticker with an emoji will make it easier to find it.
Similar to messages, the sticker packs in Signal are also fully encrypted. In an offical note, Signal stated that:
Every sticker pack consists of a random ID and a symmetric “pack key” that encrypts the pack name, author name, and sticker media. This pack key is never stored on the Signal service.
Well, if you want to use stickers on Signal before anyone else does then you can register and become a beta user of Signal.
