Several devices including the OnePlus 8 series, Mi 10, and Realme X50 Pro have received the Android 11 update.
However, users are unable to get some apps working after updating to Android 11 but it seems that the issue is with the apps and not Android 11 itself.
SBI (State Bank of India) is the largest bank in India and users can easily manage their accounts with its banking app known as YONO SBI.
Unfortunately, there are endless reports of the SBI YONO app not working on various devices after updating to Android 11.
Since no such issues have surfaced with other banking apps, users of the SBI YONO app are highly disappointed and are demanding a fix for the problem.
Multiple users have been reporting on online platforms like Twitter, OnePlus Community, Realme Community, and of course, Google Play Store.
This is simply due to the fact that SBI being the largest Indian bank has a lot of customers who use mobile banking facilities.
The issue with SBI YONO banking app is preventing users from easily managing their finances simply because SBI could not optimize the app for Android 11.
However, it seems that the app developer has addressed the situation while assuring users that the issue will soon be fixed.
This is based on a OnePlus 8T user’s query who reported that the app closes automatically after loading for sometime and the issue persists even after basic troubleshooting.
State Bank of India, which is the SBI YONO app developer, has assured the user that they are working on making the app compatible with Android 11.
We regret the inconvenience encountered in using YONO App through your mobile. At present YONO is not compatible with android 11. However we have taken up the same with our technical team & they are working on it.
Also, the app developer has provided an official workaround where users are asked to access YONO through SBI website. A permanent fix is expected soon.
Moreover, some users have also reported that the Yono Lite SBI app is an alternative for the time being as it is working with Android 11.
That said, we hope SBI provides a fix to the affected users soon and make their mobile banking app compatible with Android 11.
In the meantime, we have curated a consolidated Android 11 update tracker for all major OEMs and carriers that you can check out to get the latest updates on the topic.
