We all know that Android beats iOS in customization, any day. And that is a shame because iOS is one of the more refined Operating systems we have today. Millions of users can attest to this. But why can’t these users have their cake and eat it too?

Well, there is a way for iOS users to get their customizations on and get their creative and personalization juices flowing. This requires jailbreaking but even that, is easier today, more than ever. This is thanks to jailbreak tools like Checkra1n, which are regularly updated and maintained to work well with even the very latest version of iOS.

We have already looked at countless jailbreak tweaks that users with jailbroken devices can easily take advantage of. Users can easily customize and extensively change the look and feel of their devices using these tweaks, with relatively little fuss and risk.

Today we shall look at yet another upcoming jailbreak tweak called Arc. What does Arc do? Well, on Android, there are multiple apps on the Play Store that allow users to have an additional overlay menu that, among other things, allows users to quickly launch their go-to apps.

On other devices like Samsung devices, these are baked into the phone’s operating system as Edge Menus.

Arc brings the same level of customization to eligible iOS devices. It offers users a brand new way to quickly access the actions you use the most. The developer says that Arc is fully customizable and should fit any setup.

Some of the actions that Arc is capable of include:

  • Open apps
  • Home button
  • Lock button
  • CC
  • App switcher
  • Siri
  • Ringer button
  • Previous app
  • Play/pause music, and much more
  • Source

Arc can also be accessed from anywhere in iOS, at any time, so it’s always right there when you want it. This is still an upcoming tool and some of the intimate working details are not exactly available for the public.

Once launched, the full changelog and feature-set will be available. We shall keep an eye on this interesting tweak and update when we get more details in terms of how to install and what devices are supported.
