New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
The lack of a proper night mode in Samsung Galaxy S10 camera becomes a factor of frustration for a number of users. Other phones in the similar price range are often capable of producing spectacular low light photographs, thanks to their dedicated post-processing techs.
Before readers may get confused, no – the existing Bright Night mode is not the thing people are looking for. Based on a number of hints and APK teardown, the S10 community is hoping for this new feature to roll out via a new OTA update.
As a custom, unlocked Exynos powered Galaxy S10 models are given greater priority in terms of update rollout compared to US Snapdragon powered variants. However, Sprint recently rolled out a new update for the S10 lineup to fix various network issues.
Surprising the update also brought April 2019 security patches, making the Sprint branded Galaxy S10e/S10/S10 Plus as the first variants to get it. However, no new camera features have been reported after that update.
Now Samsung is apparently rolling out the same build (ASD5) for global Exynos models. According to a number of users, the Swiss models are the first recipients of this update.
Besides April security patch level, the changelog also mentions improved Wi-Fi stability as well as better camera performance.
And guess what? That camera improvement is basically the inclusion of the long-awaited night mode!
FYI, leakster Ice Universe predicted that the update would come in April or May.
Samsung is redesigning the camera "Night" mode for the Galaxy S10 series. This option is isolated, just like the Video, Pro independent mode. In addition, the camera algorithm has also been updated, this major update will be launched in April or May. pic.twitter.com/fQddhkENUq

The stock Samsung Camera app is updated from v9.0.03.29 to v9.0.04.3. Although a minor bump in the minor version, but it is enough for unlocking the new camera modes.
The description of the night mode can be seen from the options of the camera app:
A rough English translation of the highlighted text is as follows:
Take bright pictures even under conditions of strong darkness.
Well, it is pretty much same as the piece extracted from the teardown.
We are still not sure whether Samsung will call it simple ‘Night mode’ or tag it with a fancy marketing term like most other OEMs do.
A redditor has shared two picture samples for a basic comparison:

Currently the update is only available for Switzerland (AUT) CSC, but it should soon roll out to other regions as well. It can be possible to manually download and flash this build using tools like Frija, but you need to have prior experiences to do so.
There is no feedback about the rumored 25W charging support on regular Galaxy S10 models after this update at the time of writing this article.
Are you planning to manually flash the update to get night mode in your Galaxy S10? Or prefer to wait in the queue? Comment below.
Update 1 (April 20)
The April update (ASD5) along with camera night mode is now widely rolling out and available in different European and Asian countries.
Update 2 (July 2)
Looks like AT&T decided to push a slightly older build (ASF6). Believe it or not, camera night mode does exist in this build!
