Samsung Galaxy S10 5G gets Android 10 stable update with One UI 2.0 & December security patch

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is receiving the final Android 10 update in Korea that brings the stable One UI 2.0 version to the device alongside the latest Android security patch for the month of December 2019.

The Galaxy S10 5G picked up its first One UI 2.0 beta update about a week or so after the LTE variants of the Galaxy S10 family received their Android 10 beta update.

When the Korean company released One UI 2.0 beta 5 for the Galaxy S10 5G last month and subsequently ended the beta registration program in the home country, it was an indicator that the stable rollout is around the corner.

But when the Galaxy S10 5G Android 10 stable update didn’t arrive alongside the LTE S10 models, questions of when the update will be released started popping up, forcing Samsung to respond.

To cool down concerned Galaxy S10 5G owners, Samsung recently promised to release the update to Android 10 very soon. And indeed, as of this writing, Koreans who took part in the beta program are now receiving a small update that bumps the software to the stable version.

The airborne Galaxy S10 5G Android 10 update is hitting the Korean units as software version G977NKSU2BSL2 and weighs in at 130MB, representing a small switch from the previous One UI 2.0 beta. Of course, the file size will be bigger for non-beta users.

It’s unknown when the stable One UI 2.0 update will begin rolling out to the European Galaxy S10 5G, leave alone the American model. But the wider rollout should begin soon, probably before the end of this week.
