If you are not a fan of punch hole display but still like to get your hands on a premium class Samsung phablet with a stylus, Galaxy Note 9 is your only feasible choice at this moment.

Depending on regions, you can get a Exynos 9810/Snapdragon 845 powered beast, which is still a very capable device in current standard.

2019’s Galaxy Note 10 is on the verge of official release, and it may sport a handful of advanced techs – such as a 90Hz display panel. Nevertheless, Samsung is still delivering regular software updates to its predecessor. They also backported features like Call and Message Continuity (CMC) to Note 9.

Matter of fact, the US Unlocked variant of Galaxy Note 9 was the first Snapdragon model to receive July security patch in the form of CSF9 build. The same build was rolled out earlier to global Exynos powered units, which also bundled camera night mode.

Although the carrier unlocked US units failed to get the camera mode in their latest OTA, Verizon generously included it in their July security update. Dubbed as ‘System Update 10’ with the build tag of CSGA, the new update went live a few days ago.

Looks like AT&T took the baton from the big red, as Galaxy Note 9 units on AT&T are now reportedly getting a new update with a size of ~800 MB . Apart from July security patch, the dedicated camera night mode is finally accessible in this build as well.

As you can see, the build number is same as Verizon (CSGA) while the OTA comes with a new (v2) bootloader. In layman’s terms, you can’t go back to previous builds after installing this update.

Oh, and looks like RCS universal profile (aka Advanced Messaging) becomes live under Samsung Messages app.

Wait, there’s more! Galaxy S10e/S10/S10+ users with AT&T branded units are already eligible for the camera night mode update. In case you forgot, Verizon rolled out the July security update at the beginning of this month which is now availble for AT&T variants too.

AT&T’s own OTA tracker page for Galaxy S10 is not updated yet, although the OTA is hitting the phones. The July update with camera night mode is also available for AT&T Galaxy S9/S9+ in the update servers, and public rollout should begin as soon as possible.

Once again, Verizon was the first US carrier to provide the July OTA for Galaxy S9 lineup. Judging from the frequency of user reports, these updates should appear anytime on your AT&T branded Galaxy Note 9/S9/S10.
