You know why Samsung adorns the pole position in the smartphone market. Of course, the reputation of the brand plays a significant role. But, their flagship lineups (both S and Note) accelerated the growth to achieve the feat.

It’s no secret that the OEM doesn’t top in delivering timely OTAs. Google, Nokia, Essential, and OnePlus sweep the board in this regard. Even though Samsung has improved the frequency of airing updates now, there are multitudes of devices waiting for patches since long.

Guess what! It looks like the South Korean smartphone vendor has paid heed to the users. A few reported to have received the security patch dated 1 July 2019. However we couldn’t find it on the official build release document. Maybe, they will add it only after the wide rollout.

To recall, Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro hit the market in November 2016. Released with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, it already secured Oreo. Given the usual two-os-update-custom,, we don’t think it will get Pie or 10.

Irrespective of the Android version, they may occasionally rollout security patches. The latest one weighs 300 MB in size with no significant changes. What it newly does is adding a new application named ShareChat into the list of system apps.
