Rust is one of the most popular multiplayer survival games of all time. The game was launched back in 2013 and was ported over to consoles in May this year.
The main objective of Rust is to survive using everything at your disposal and dodging or confronting other players.
To improve their chances of survival and storing items, players can build bases where they can store all their loot. These bases also act as a spawn point if they die.
Players need to craft items and manage their inventory to make new things and survive in the unforgiving world of Rust.
The game lets users manage their inventory by breaking down or splitting items. Having said that, Rust players are affected by a new bug that is affecting the ability to split items.
According to user reports, whenever they try to split items, the game automatically closes the inventory or cancels the splitting process.
In this patch for some reason I can’t split my items it doesn’t crash but it bugs out and doesn’t split

There is a problem with splitting items. When you attempt to split it immediately cancels it and it’s really hard to split stuff can this be fixed with the next patch?

User reports suggest that the bug has surfaced after the release of Rust Console Edition Patch 1.05.
While the update does bring some necessary fixes, it has introduced some really game-breaking bugs preventing users from playing the game normally.
Fortunately, the Rust development team has acknowledged the bug where players are unable to split items and said they are working on a fix.
We hope the developers release an emergency patch that fixes the inventory bug.
