Roku devices are used by many across the globe, however, users have been facing several issues with the platform.
To recall, users were unable to link their Roku devices with Alexa, HBO Max app still keeps on freezing, and more.
Now, it seems another issue is troubling users of Roku TV and it has been around for quite some time.
As per several reports, some Roku TV models are displaying wrong time and there is no setting to change, set, or adjust the same.
Many Roku TV users are facing this problem and are unable to watch live TV because of the wrong system time.
The correct time where I am at is 10:42am yet the Roku says 4:59 pm. This then causes the live channel TV guide app we use to display wrong line up. I’ve restarted, unplugged. What else can I do?

Since Roku support has been unable to deliver proper assistance to affected users, they have found a way to fix the problem themselves.
According to an affected user, re-installing Roku OS fixes the incorrect time issue. This can be done by accessing a hidden menu on the affected Roku TV models.
The said menu can be accessed by pressing the home button on the Roku TV remote five times followed by the fast forward button three times then the rewind button two times.
Once the hidden menu appears, select the Software Update option which will reinstall the Roku software and restart the device afterwards.
Most user reports clearly indicate that this workaround resolves the problem. However, affected users can also perform a reboot of their Roku TV before moving ahead with the said workaround.
This is because a simple restart appears to have also solved the incorrect time issue for some users.
Here is how you fix it. Settings. System. Power. System Restart.

While the aforementioned workaround is fixing the problem, Roku still has to provide affected users with a proper fix.
Hopefully, Roku looks into the matter and soon provides users with an option to manually adjust the date and time on their Roku TV.
That said, we will report back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
