It is a known drill that, OEMs start pushing beta updates before the stable update (especially for the firmware updates), in order to get the feedback about the current build regarding bugs and issues from its users.

In the past, Samsung also pushed quite a bunch of Android 10 beta updates for its Galaxy devices before finally rolling out the stable OneUI 2.0 (Android 10) updates.

Similarly, Asus till now has pushed five Android 10 beta updates for its gaming beast ROG Phone 2. Note that the beta program for the ROG Phone 2 began back in November 2019. Eventually, a month later, the first beta update was pushed out.

The last beta i.e. fifth Android 10 beta for the ROG Phone 2 was rolled out a few days back with version number V17.0210.1912.39.

And it seems that Asus might bring in the stable Android 10 update soon as in a recent development, a new Android 10 beta 6 update is live for the ROG Phone 2 users.

The update arrives with the version number V17.0210.1912.50 and is currently live for users in Russia and is expected to be available for other regions soon. It brings in fixes for the Bluetooth connectivity issue, improves accessories and system stability.

Note that we are including two files, one for the users who are on beta 5 and the other for users who are on Android 9 Pie. Moreover, you need to rename the beta 6 update file (downloaded from below) to UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-17.0210.1912.50-1.1.55-user.zip then put it in the root of internal storage and restart the phone

According to a new report, Android 10 Beta 7 is now live for the ROG Phone 2 users. It arrives with the version number V17.0210.1912.54 and weighs in around 129.07 MB in size.

Below is the official changelog:

  • Fix low probability audio mute issue

You need to rename the beta 7 update file (downloaded from below) to UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-17.0210.1912.54-1.1.71-user.zip
then put it in the root of internal storage and restart the phone.

Update 2 (February, 25)

Asus has rolled out the Android 10 beta 8 update for the ROG Phone 2 users. It carries version number V17.0210.1912.55 and weighs in around 125.07 MB in size.

Below is the official changelog of this beta 8 update:

2.Improve accessories stability
3.Fix Bluetooth connection issue

You need to rename the beta 8 update file (downloaded from below) to UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-17.0210.1912.55-1.1.79-user.zip
then put it in the root of internal storage and restart the phone.
