As days are passing by, Android 10 update is getting delivered to more number of devices. While Google has made the Android 11 Developer Preview available, there are still quite a bunch of devices awaiting Android 10 updates. Not too far behind are the users of Redmi Note 7 Pro.
It is a tradition of Chinese OEMs to push updates first in their home region and then roll out the update for the global users. In line with this, Redmi Note 7 Pro in China has recently grabbed the Android 10 update.
The update was in the form of MIUI 11 Beta and it bumped the security patch level to February 2020 as well. After this, all eyes turned towards when the global Note 7 Pro will be served with the update.
While users were still awaiting Android 10 updates on their Note 7 Pro, the handset was spotted running Android 11/Android R operating system on a Geekbench listing.
However, nothing can be confirmed whether the Note 7 Pro will get Android 11 or not as there is very limited information regarding the Android 11 OS as of now. Moreover, Geekbench listings can easily be doctored by advanced users.
Cut to now, according to a recent development, the users of the Note 7 Pro are being served with the February 2020 patchset, meaning that they have to wait a bit longer for the Android 10 update.
The update is live for the units in India and it arrives with version number V11.0.8.0.PFHINXM and weighs in around 597 MB in size. It is purely incremental in nature and brings nothing except the security update.
System:
