Android 10’s market share continues to grow with each passing day as more devices get launched. Older devices that are eligible for the update to Android 10 are also getting updated by the day. We have seen Realme, Xiaomi and many other OEMs doing this.

Continuing with this trend, Xiaomi is today rolling out Android 10 to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro in China, at least in Beta. This update has been rumored for some time. We even saw a leaked Geekbench score, but we all knew that it was in the pipeline and the first batch has just started getting the update.

The Beta update is based on the Chinese version of MIUI 11 20.3.4 and brings the much-awaited Android 10. It comes with the February 2020 Android security patch level.

While we still don’t have a detailed changelog in English, it is safe to assume that Xiaomi bundled both MIUI 11 and Android 10 features onto this build. We shall update with the changelog as soon as we get it.

As this is a Beta update, it might be worth holding off at least for now, until the official version of officially rolled out to your device. That said, this is as close to the final build as it is going to get. While there might be bugs, it is possible to daily-drive this firmware.

With this update, all eyes now turn to the international version of this Redmi Note 7 Pro to see when Xiaomi will roll out the same Android 10 update for this variant. If history is anything to go by, this should not take too long.

Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched back in March 2019. The device sports a 6.30-inch display with a Full-HD+ resolution (1080×2340 pixels). It has a glass-on-glass design that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. It is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 675 and perhaps the headlining feature was the 48MP AI Dual camera.
