Avid Realme fans know about the #AskMadhav YouTube series the company uses to shed light on feature requests and the future of Realme products as requested by fans.
The series has already hit 10 episodes and even though we haven’t featured all of them on PiunikaWeb, we’ve gathered quite a lot from the few episodes we managed to bring forth.
One of the most common feature requests on the AskMadhav series is system-wide dark mode. As some of you probably know, the dark mode feature has been brought to prominence by Android 10, but it isn’t the first OS to implement it.
We first heard about dark mode coming to Realme devices back in June 2019, but all was confirmed when the company started collecting user feedback on the same.
In early September, Realme in a Q&A confirmed that dark mode would be made available for all Realme smartphones. Things got even more interesting when dark mode arrived on the Realme 3 Pro courtesy of the mysterious Project X.
With the launch of Realme XT, the Oppo subsidiary finally took the wraps off the ColorOS dark mode expected to find its way to Realme phones via a software update and later last month, the desire to bring dark mode to Realme devices was reiterated by the company.
At the time, it wasn’t clear whether the said dark mode would be pushed to select Realme phones that will be upgraded to Android 10 beginning Q1 2020 or all Reame devices. But a little under two weeks ago, the company once again came out to confirm that all Realme smartphones will receive dark mode.
Realme also mentioned that the dark mode feature would be ready to roll out to the first batch of Realme phones by the end of November 2019. But still, an unsatisfied user of the Realme XT took to Twitter to inquire more about this feature and got the response below.
Hey, realme XT will receive dark mode by the end of November and Android Q update by next year. Stay tuned to our social media handles for further updates on the same. Thanks!?

The tweet above implies that Realme dark mode will be released as a separate update from Android 10, which is the OS that is expected to bring a system-wide dark mode to all Android devices.
We will be here to update you when Realme begins pushing the dark mode feature not just to the Realme XT, but also to other Realme smartphones.
