Android is a very vast ecosystem with hundreds of different phone makers. Maintaining these devices is a task for every individual maker. However, in a bid to harmonize these security updates, Google rolls out regular security patches and phone makers then works to push the same to their devices.

These come in the form of these Monthly Android security patches. The latest one being the February 2020 Android security patch update. Many devices from various OEMs have received this update and it is the time for the Realme X2 to get updated.

The Realme X2’s February 2020 security patch update has just begun rolling out to devices and it packs a little more than just a bump in the Android security patch level. The following is the update changelog.

The highlight of this update to the Realme X2 is the fact that this brings the much-awaited support for VoWIFI or Voice over WiFi for users on Jio. It is also worth noting that this update is still based on ColorOS 6.1.

This is an OTA update and as such, is going to be rolled out in phases. If your device has not received the update, it is worth going into settings and checking manually to see if it is available. If it is not, you might want to wait a little for it as it should hit your device soon.

Also getting an update is the HTC Desire 19+. This update brings the software version running on this device to 1.10.709.3. The update comes with the following changelog. This has been directly translated from Chinese.
