New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 10, 2020) follows:
The Realme UI beta update based on Android 10 arrived on China’s Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro back in January 2020. The latter got the nod ahead of its counterpart, but it’s looking increasingly likely that the stable version will arrive at about the same time.
Folks in India had to wait a little longer before getting hands-on with the Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro Realme UI update. Matter of fact, the initial beta testing phase was only limited to the standard Realme X2, but things have since changed.
Not long ago, the OPPO subsidiary welcomed owners of the Realme X2 and X2 Pro who wish to try Android 10 ahead of the stable release to sign up for the Early Access program.
Shortly after, we picked up reports that the update was indeed rolling out to the pair, at least for those whose applications into the program were successful.
In a not-so-similar but related move, the Chinese wing of Realme is now looking for interested Realme X2 and X2 Pro owners to get into its public beta program that brings Realme UI update a step closer to rolling out widely.
Realme UI has grown rapidly since its development. The team has invested a lot of effort and effort. Now it is time to share the results of our efforts with you! In the spirit of leapfrogging with real fans, and in order to let real fans experience the UI experience of fast-paced playing in advance, we have launched a public beta version of realme UI for X2 and X2 Pro users.

Unfortunately, the registration window for the Realme X2 won’t start until tomorrow, March 11, but those on the X2 Pro can already submit their interest to try Realme UI. Those taking part in the program are required to install the public beta registration APK (download here), register to join the public beta, and download the system update file.
But be sure to back up your data before making the switch to the new OS. Also, your Realme X2 and X2 Pro must be on the following version in order to make the cut:
Beta software is unfinished and hence Realme warns against making the switch unless you are okay using buggy software. Once in the program, there is no way out, not even a rollback method to go back to Pie, so be sure that you are into this.
Once you have the public beta registration APK on your phone:
1. Go to “Settings”-“Software Update”-“Upper right button”-“Upgrade early adopters” and select the corresponding model public beta plan.
2. Enter the phone number and other information, check “I have read and agree”, and click “Apply Now”.
3. After the application is successful, click “Complete Application” to apply successfully. After successful application, if a new version is detected, you can go to upgrade.
