Realme is slowly moving their focus towards the upper tier of the smartphone market, as they are continuously bringing premium offerings with affordable price tags. The mantra works astonishingly well with Xiaomi, thus these two Chinese OEMs are battling a fierce conflict with each other.
Now that the arrival of Pro variant of Realme X2 in India has been confirmed, we should expect the rollout of the next generation of ColorOS soon. The Realme OS versus ColorOS debacle is still going strong, while OPPO started public beta testing of Android 10 for the first generation Reno series.
The initial beta builds are based on ColorOS 6, but we should eventually experience ColorOS 7 in the near future. Will Realme follow the same path with their Android 10 update roadmap? Only time will tell.
Android 10 will be available to all Realme devices starting from 2020. Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and Realme XT will get it in Q1. In Q2, we will roll it out to Realme 3, Realme 5 and also to Realme 3i. Realme 2 Pro will also get Android 10 in Q3. Rest of the devices, we are still evaluating and we will share the timelines for them with you when we are ready.
Well, there is an unexpected turn of events. The Chinese counterpart of Realme apparently ensured the arrival of ColorOS 7. Moreover, they curated a list of features requested by the community members which should be included as the part of the next major version bump.
