New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on February 27, 2020) follows:
Realme recently pushed a software update to the Realme X in India that installed February security patches and enabled VoWiFi calling feature in the country.
In the documentation attached to the update, Realme revealed that this particular software is needed in order to install the upcoming Realme X Realme UI update based on Android 10. By all means, this suggested that the rollout was imminent.
Indeed, Realme India came out shortly afterward to confirm that Android 10 is set to begin rolling out to the device on the final week of February.
While this was happening, Realme X owners in China had just started receiving the stable Android 10 update. The initial rollout was limited to those who took part in the beta program, with the company promising to roll out the OS widely beginning February 25.
But when the D-Day arrived, the Realme X Realme UI update was nowhere to be seen, instead, the company came out with a statement on the same, saying that the wider rollout had been postponed due to fingerprint issues discovered in the initial firmware.
At the time, there was no mention of the date Realme expected to resume rolling out the update, but this is no longer the case. In an official statement made in the Chinese wing of the Realme community forums, the company says the wider rollout resumes tomorrow, February 28.
Although this rollout won’t be felt in India immediately, its kick-off in China means the wait for the update to arrive in the Asian sub-continent is almost over. We will let you know when India gets it, so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
